Manchester Giants Kabaddi join the inaugural PLK 2026

It’s official: Manchester Giants Kabaddi will compete in the inaugural Premier League Kabaddi (PLK) 2026 season — the UK’s first semi-professional kabaddi league, broadcast nationally on BBC iPlayer and the South Asian Network.

Born from the record-breaking, undefeated University of Manchester Kabaddi team, the Giants carry an elite, winning culture onto the national stage — and we’re only just getting started.

A new northern powerhouse

We join nine other clubs from across the country, with the Giants flying the flag for the North West. The season runs across three weekends:

  • Manchester — 27 & 28 June 2026 (our home weekend)
  • Coventry — 11 & 12 July 2026
  • Glasgow Grand Final — 18 & 19 July 2026

Built differently

What sets the Giants apart is our medical-led foundation. Founded by a University of Manchester medical student, the club is built on an elite understanding of physiology, athlete welfare and injury prevention — so we don’t just chase wins, we protect the players who deliver them.

This is the beginning of something special for kabaddi in Greater Manchester. Whether you want to play, partner with us, or simply follow the journey — welcome to the Giants.
